The Financial Modeling & Valuation Analyst (FMVA)® program is an online global certification program that focuses on practical applications of:

• Financial analysis
• Modeling
• Valuation
• Presentations

It covers the entire financial analyst skillset and provides the tools and training necessary to become a world-class financial analyst.

Subscriptions and Inclusions ^

The FMVA® Program includes optional prep, core, & elective courses as well as an exclusive library of modeling templates and a final exam.

Learners need to enroll in one of our subscription plans to gain access to the program. We offer subscription plans that give one-year access to ALL of our courses: 

• Self-Study Subscription - priced at USD $597 per year
• Full-Immersion Subscription - priced at USD $847 per year

There are no additional fees required to earn the digital certification. Once enrolled, you will get instant access to the courses, study materials, and all future FMVA® course upgrades within your active subscription period.

Who Can Take the FMVA Program ^

The FMVA® program is open to anyone looking to become a world-class financial analyst, regardless of industry or level of experience. We have learners just starting their careers in finance and learners completing their 15th year in the finance industry. Our programs are hands-on to can help anyone learn and solidify their knowledge.

The program curriculum is designed to teach financial modeling and valuation from very basics to more complex topics.

We have included optional prep courses and we encourage students who do not have a Finance background to start with these to build a foundation and then proceed to the more advanced Core and Elective courses

FMVA® Certification Requirements ^

Please refer to the FMVA course landing page and click on the 'How it Works' section to review the certification requirements.

All courses come with an online exam at the end (multiple choice questions, fill-in-the-blanks, and Excel questions) that learners need to complete. The exams can be repeated as many times as needed and can be taken at any time. A score of at least 80% is required to pass the assessment and earn the course credentials. 

Learners are also required to take the FMVA® final exam and earn at least 70% to pass and earn their certification. The final exam covers content from the prep and core courses (elective courses not included) and is timed to be completed within 3 hours. Learners get unlimited attempts but must wait 30 days between if failed.  Further information about the FMVA® final exam can be found here

After successfully completing the FMVA® course requirements, learners need to sign CFI's Honor Pledge to submit their program for certification. Once signed and submitted, the Blockchain-Verified FMVA® certificate will be sent to the registered email address within 24 hours.

Duration and Mode of Delivery ^

All courses are accessible online and include video lectures delivered by professional Wall Street trainers who have been teaching classes for new hires at global investment banks for over twenty years. 

Your access will include the program's lectures, study materials, and exams which are all available online and through your dashboard. These are accessible from anywhere in the world, allowing the program to be completed at any time. 

The recommended time to complete the program is 120-200 hours, but learners are free to finish the program at their own pace.

∙ Do I have the option to pause my studies?

There is no specific timeframe to complete any of the courses, so you can take them whenever your time permits. You can just click on 'Resume Course' at any time; rest assured that your course progress is saved each time you sign out of your dashboard.

∙ Why is the total time of the video not equal to the noted number of course hours?

The hours included in the course description are the average study hours, including the time to watch the lectures, download files, complete the exercises & assessments, etc.

∙ I took the course assessment more than once, what score will this record on my transcript?

We offer unlimited attempts on the course assessments and your transcript will show a PASS or a FAIL for your test score.

∙ Where can I access the FMVA® final exam?

The FMVA® final exam, as well as the practice exam, will be available on your student dashboard once you have completed all the required courses.

∙ Can I extend the 3 hours of the FMVA® final exam?

The final exam is timed for exactly 3 hours and there is no option to pause the timer once you have started.

∙ Can I take more than 3 elective courses?

Yes, of course! You will be given access to all of the courses included in the program and you are free to take more than the required courses, if you wish, at no additional cost.
