Financial modeling with MATLAB (MATrix LABoratory) is the creation of a model using a programming language that allows matrix data manipulation, use of algorithms, development of interfaces, and integrations with other programming languages. This approach to building models involves the use of quantitative methods with the application of financial calculations. This differs from traditional financial modeling in corporate finance, which uses Excel.
