How can I apply?

Be sure to have an active membership by purchasing one of our plans here. Once you’ve signed up, register for a seat in the FMVA® Bootcamp here. The bootcamp is also open to existing members who do not already hold an FMVA® designation.

What is the duration of bootcamp?

The FMVA® bootcamp is scheduled and operates within a 16-week period. Participants will progress through the program together from the cohort start date to the cohort end date.

How does it work?

The FMVA® courses are delivered online through our learning platform. Participants can access the materials and resources from anywhere with an internet connection.

The bootcamp offers a time-bound and guided learning experience. Participants progress through the program within a 16-week timeframe.

To earn the FMVA® certification, participants need to complete the core courses and pre-selected electives within the specified timeframe.

Successful completion of the required courses is followed by passing the FMVA® final exam, which evaluates learners’ understanding and proficiency in financial modeling and valuation concepts. You can learn more about the FMVA® final exam here.

The FMVA® bootcamp has a set timeline. For instance, if the cohort starts on August 28, participants will be expected to complete the program by December 18.

During this period, learners need to successfully finish the assigned coursework and pass the final exam to achieve FMVA® designation.

What are the expected commitments or responsibilities?

Participants are expected to dedicate approximately 5-10 hours per week to the bootcamp. This commitment includes time spent studying course materials, completing exercises and qualified assessments, and participating in any live sessions or discussions.

Will the live sessions be recorded?

If you are unable to attend a live session, don’t worry! All live sessions will be recorded and the recordings will be made available to all participants. We will send the recordings to you via email so you can watch them at a later time. This way, you can catch up on any missed content and stay on track with the bootcamp’s progress. However, we recommend attending live sessions whenever possible to fully engage with the instructors and other participants and make the most of the interactive learning experience. Live sessions will be held at 9am PST.

What makes the FMVA® Bootcamp unique?

The FMVA® Bootcamp provides participants with additional guidance and motivation, including a guided curriculum, two live sessions per month, two exam prep sessions, and access to an exclusive community, to complete the FMVA® certification within 16 weeks. This structured and interactive approach ensures that learners stay on track and progress efficiently through the program with the support of our team and their cohort members.

Participants in the bootcamp benefit from a strong sense of community and peer support. Engaging with fellow learners who share the same goals and aspirations can enhance the overall learning experience.

Can I choose other electives besides the ones included in this bootcamp?

The electives included are specially curated for the bootcamp and must be taken as part of it. However, you’re free to take as many electives and courses outside of the bootcamp as you like!

What if I don't finish in time?

If you are unable to complete the bootcamp within the specified duration, we can remove you from the bootcamp program from our end. This allows you to transition back to the regular self-paced FMVA® training. While you continue your membership, you will retain access to the FMVA® course materials.

Please note that upon removal from the bootcamp, you will lose access to specific bootcamp resources. This includes live sessions, exam prep sessions, and weekly curriculum emails, which are exclusive to the bootcamp participants.

Do I get a special certification for this bootcamp?

Upon successfully completing the FMVA® Bootcamp, you will receive the FMVA® (Financial Modeling and Valuation Analyst) certification. This certification is the same as the one earned by participants who complete the regular self-paced FMVA® program. It represents your proficiency in financial modeling and valuation concepts and is a valuable credential recognized in the world of finance.

I don’t have time in the next few months. Can I register for the next cohort?

If you wish to rejoin the FMVA® Bootcamp at a later time, you may inquire about upcoming cohorts and availability. The bootcamp may be offered periodically, providing you with another opportunity to participate in the guided learning experience and benefit from the exclusive resources it offers.

What if my membership expires before the end of the cohort?

To ensure continuous access to the FMVA® Bootcamp and its exclusive resources, it is essential to keep your membership active. You can do this by ensuring your billing information is up-to-date so that your membership automatically renews as planned. By maintaining an active membership, you can fully engage with the bootcamp and progress through the curriculum alongside your cohort peers.

Can I apply for scholarship or financial aid?

At this time, we do not offer scholarships for the FMVA® Bootcamp. However, we do provide financial aid options for memberships that you can explore.

Financial aid is a program designed to assist learners who may have financial constraints but are eager to participate in the FMVA® Bootcamp. Through financial aid, eligible individuals will receive a 50% discount on the Self-Study membership plan. Once signed up, you’d be able to register for a seat in the FMVA® bootcamp.

What tools and platforms are required for the bootcamp?

To fully participate in the bootcamp and successfully complete the exercises, students should have access to a computer (PC and/or Mac) and Microsoft Suite (2016 or newer). Additionally, a reliable and stable internet connection is essential to ensure uninterrupted learning.

We kindly ask that you ensure your access to these essential tools and platforms well in advance of the Bootcamp’s start date. This proactive step will help ensure a seamless and enriching experience throughout the program.
