The Czech National Bank (CNB) supervises financial institutions and banks in the Czech Republic and serves as the country’s central monetary authority. CSOB

Ceskoslovenska Obchodni Banka, also called CSOB or Czechoslovak Trade Bank, provides various financial solutions in retail banking, corporate banking, private banking, and SMEs, as well as financial markets.

Founded by the state in 1964, it currently operates under the brands CSOB and Postovni Sporitelna. CSOB is part of KBC Group, one of the leading financial conglomerates in Belgium and the CEE region.

Ceska Sporitelna

Ceska Sporitelna is one of the largest banks in the Czech Republic by assets. With over five million clients, it is also the biggest bank in terms of the number of customers. It operates through its network of 438 branches and 1,825 ATMs, providing a range of products and services to small-scale clients, SMEs, and large companies.

Ceska Sporitelna is one of the leading securities dealers in the country’s capital market. It is also a member of the Erste Group that serves over 17 million clients in eight EU member countries.

Komercní Banka             

Universal bank Komercni Banka (KB) is one of the leading banks in the Czech Republic, as well as in Central and Eastern Europe. It offers a wide range of products and services in retail, investment, and corporate banking.

KB also provides specialized services, including pension funds, factoring, insurance, and consumer lending.  It operates 242 branches and 809 ATMs and employs about 7,800 staff.

UniCredit Bank CZ

UniCredit Bank Czech Republic and Slovakia is one of the market leaders in terms of corporate finance, acquisition financing, and commercial real estate. UniCredit Group, one of the top European financial groups, started its banking activities in the Czech Republic in 2007 through the integration of Zivnostenska Banka and HVB Bank.

Raiffeisenbank CZ

Raiffeisenbank CZ started providing a range of banking products and services to private and corporate clients in the Czech Republic in 1993 after merging with eBanka. A member of the Austria-based Raiffeisen Group, Raiffeisenbank was named Bank of the Year in 2009, the most prestigious banking award in the country.  It operates through a network of approximately 130 branches and business client centers.

Moneta Money Bank              

Moneta Money Bank, formerly GE Money Bank, is one of the leading consumer finance banks in the Czech Republic. The bank offers a full range of financial products and services, with a focus on retail customers and SMEs. It operates in two primary segments: retail and commercial.

Headquartered in Prague, it employs more than 3,000 staff and oversees a network of 159 branches and 555 ATMs.

PPF Banka

Formerly called Royal Banka CS, PPF Banka serves as the central treasury bank of its holding company, PPF Group, one of the largest investment and finance groups in Central and Eastern Europe. It provides a range of private banking, investment, and consultancy services to financial institutions and medium-sized and large enterprises.

PPF Banka is also known for its trading securities services for professional investors in many markets in Europe, as well as in the US, Russia, and several countries in Asia. Based in Prague, the bank was incorporated in 1992.

Sberbank CZ

Commercial bank, Sberbank CZ, provides a wide range of financial products and services, such as savings, checking, mortgage, online banking, payment cards, and private banking to retail and corporate clients in the country.

Sberbank Europe AG, a subsidiary of Sberbank of Russia, which is the largest bank in Russia and CIS, is the main shareholder of Sberbank CZ. The bank currently employs 750 staff and serves more than 120,000 customers out of 25 branches.

Fio Banka          

With headquarters in Prague, a privately-owned full-service universal bank, Fio Banka, offers a wide range of products and services in retail and corporate banking. It also offers brokering securities transactions and is the largest Czech securities trader that specializes in smaller clients.

CMZR Bank       

Ceskomoravska Zarucni a Rozvojova Banka, or CMZR Bank, was established in 1992 as a specialized banking institution. It is the sole development bank in the Czech Republic, providing support to small and medium-sized enterprises. It also became involved in the implementation of structural funds in 2004.
