Financial Analyst License

Is There a Financial Analyst License?

Generally speaking, there is no license required to be a “financial analyst.” There are, however, licensing requirements to trade securities and make investment recommendations, such as the Series 7 in the U.S. While licensing is not required for a general corporate financial analyst, there are many designations and certifications that professionals often have, such as the FMVA certification offered by CFI.
