What is Complacent?
Complacent is when you are satisfied with the status quo. It is feeling comfortable with what you have, and not having the desire to go after something better or different, usually because of laziness. In finance, this can be a problem, as you are choosing not to take action when it’s in your economic benefit to do so. For example, I won’t make 401(k) or RRSP contributions because I’m too lazy to do so.
