What is Acculturation?

Acculturation is the process through which new employees grow accustomed to a company’s cultures and values. It is sometimes part of the orientation process, where employees receive a handbook that contains the company’s values, missions, and standards. The transition process to a new job can sometimes be challenging, and setting a period for new employees to get comfortable with the workplace can be beneficial for the firm in the long run.
