What are CPE Credits Online?
All Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) are required to obtain Continuing Professional Education credits. It is to maintain their license to practice and ensure that they are up-to-date with the industry standards and latest tools and strategies. The fields of taxation and accounting are ever-changing, and obtaining CPE equips CPAs with the knowledge and skills that they need in providing high-quality services.
CPAs earn CPE credits for their CPE requirements. Professionals can earn CPE credits by participating in workshops, industry conferences, or in-person classes. The number of credits required depends on the state as they are determined by the Board of Accountancy. In general, one CPE credit is equivalent to 50 minutes of professional financial training, regardless of the state where a professional practices.
CPE credits can also be earned online through webinars or video instruction. Online CPE training makes it more convenient for CPAs to earn credits whenever and wherever they want, and at their own pace. Some of the topics included in online CPE courses are tax laws, best practices in accounting, as well as the latest tools and technology in the industry.
