What are Free CPE Credits for CPAs?
While there are paid CPE-approved courses, there are also ways to earn free CPE credits for Certified Public Accountants. From webinars and webcasts to on-demand courses, you’ll find a wide array of courses that you can take without the additional expenses.
CPAs need to earn CPE credits in order to comply with existing CPE requirements. Take note that states impose varying requirements in terms of the number of CPE credits that need to be obtained. The state’s Board of Accountancy determines the required credits. Also, the number depends on the type of training and the manner in which it is administered. In general, taking a 50-minute professional financial training is equivalent to one CPE credit.
